Al Pacino has signed on to voice the villain. The character had been rumored to be named ‘El Macho,’ but unless they decide to have a campy performance from Pacino, the role may be getting a retooling.

I thought the first one was one of the best animated films I have ever seen so I am excited by this news.

I'm excited for it. Just worried as I ussually am about a successful movie getting a sequel.

One of my favorite parts of the first one was the soundtrack, hope they can produce something as awesome.

We know Steve Carell will reprise his role as the dastardly but charming villain Gru and now word has it that Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand and Miranda Cosgrove will all reprise their respective roles as Miss Hattie, Dr. Nefario and Margo from the original film. In addition, Steve Coogan will have a new role in the film, and he may even be voicing multiple characters.
