Review by: Jason James
This movie starts out very confusing. It starts with a bunch of short clips and takes a while into the movie before you realize what the main thread is. Once you get the main thread under control you still have to deal with quick little glimpses into the future. Though this was a cool way to present this film, I am not sure it works very well for it. After getting the main thread of the story I started to really enjoy the film and was interested how all the pieces were going to fit together. The problem is once the pieces started the fit together and the mystery was gone, I started to lose interest in the movie. Some of the scenes drag on and really started to lose my interest. Naomi Watts and Sean Penn both provide a great performance but it just was not enough to really make me enjoy this movie. As much as it pains me to do it, I can't recommend this movie.
