This movie was made in 1974 so don't expect great special effects. The things that I liked the most about this movie is the locations. You have villages that exist in the middle of no where with nothing more than a small trail connecting them. You have estates that exist out in the middle of the country side and with a small horse trail leading to it. The story of the movie was good but not great. I like Caroline Munro in her role in the movie. I also liked the tavern scene and the final scene in the movie. A part of me is drawn to movies like these because I have a fasination with British history and the time period that this is set in. This movie also has some Vampire lore in it that is not as well known as modern day lore. Overall I did like this movie and any vampire or horror fan should have it in there collection.

Yup, you guessed it, this is another movie I was forced to see; against my will, by Mr. James. Everything about this movie is retarded. The acting is hitrocious (that’s right, hideous + atrocious), it’s predictable, and most of it has you wondering what crackhead ever came up with the story. Where the hell did that katana come from anyway??? Where some British-ish soldier guy in who rides around on a horse searching for vampires with his deformed friend ever got a hold of that sword, much less became proficient with it, is quite a mystery and possibly the only mystery in this whole craptacular movie. The one bright spot is seeing a mostly nude hot chick. The yin to that yang is that she goes with him for no reason what-so-ever, cementing the fact that the plot is junk. The only possible way I can see anyone buying this movie is if they are a huge horror/vampire flick fan and this is the last movie they need before owning them all.
