The movie stirs up a very powerful emotion in me, pure sadness. Just thinking about the movie makes me sad. I am sure a lot of that is why I don't like this movie so my review is more of a dislike for the sadness that it creates. Brat Pitt plays Benjamin who was born 80 years old and ages in reverse. Sure that might sound like a good thing, getting healthier and stronger as you go, getting the old tired bones over with first. Well for Benjamin this does not go as well as you might think. It is not long into his existence and he falls for his one true love, though she is a little girl and is aging the way every one else does. So when she is a teenager he is still a pretty old man. She is full of life and he tires easy. Just thinking about how these lives going in opposite directions plays out in this movie fills me full of sadness. If you want what I really think about this movie then I hope to live the rest of my life and never be put in a position to have to watch it again. Maybe it is just me as I know a lot of people loved this movie. I just can't get over how sad I felt while watching it and that sadness just didn't go away right away after it was done.
